As our families enjoy the summer sunshine, our administration is getting ready for the new school year. Deep cleaning, new equipment, staff training, and updating plans are all happening behind the scenes.
We are excited to share some updates about the 2021-2022 school year. ICA received guidance from the Diocese of Allentown about COVID policies moving forward. These policies will take effect at the beginning of the school year.
“Our plans for the 2021-22 school year are to offer full, five days, in-person instruction in all of our schools. Students and staff will not be required to wear face coverings while at school. Students and staff who choose to continue to wear face coverings as a mitigation measure against COVID-19 will be allowed to do so. Please note that we cannot control what government entities may require of our students who ride public school buses, receive support services or participate in athletic activities involving other schools. Virtual education for the 2021-22 school year will be offered only in specific COVID-19 related situations such as quarantine or situations involving a long-term serious medical situation. Schools will again be able to use a limited number of Flexible Instruction Days for weather-related or emergency-related school closures.”
We are looking forward to seeing our students smiling faces this fall and keeping our community engaged and healthy!
