Kindergarten is a year of firsts, filled with fun and engaging activities! It’s the first time many students experience being in a classroom and having their own desks and books. In Kindergarten, we focus on math and reading readiness skills, but we also make sure learning is enjoyable. In reading readiness, we work on reading, writing, listening, speaking, and literature appreciation. In math, we work on recognizing and understanding the meaning of numerals and the calendar, clock, money, etc. We have special ‘letter people’ who visit throughout the year, adding a fun twist to learning. Our year is packed with exciting field trips, class parties, mass participation, and we end the year with a celebratory closing ceremony!
