Overview
In the realm of second grade, a significant journey unfolds—a year marked by profound growth, both in academics and spirit! Here, students continue to hone their literacy skills, evolve into critical thinkers, and uncover and expand upon their unique talents. Within our vibrant classroom, a beacon of joy and enlightenment, a passion for learning thrives. Whether delving into world maps, mastering the elegant art of cursive writing, or immersing themselves in the tales within our classroom library, every moment is a stepping stone towards knowledge and discovery. As the school year progresses, our second graders prepare for the reception of two sacred sacraments. They delve into the essence of God’s forgiveness as they ready themselves for and receive First Penance. Come May, a momentous occasion awaits as they partake in the Eucharist, uniting with God’s table during their First Holy Communion rites.

Having graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cabrini University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education, Miss Banks’ academic journey exemplifies dedication and excellence.
Grounded in her profound commitment to the Catholic faith, their spiritual foundation shapes the essence of their teaching philosophy. Embracing the teachings of Jesus, she recognizes the invaluable skills and truths embedded within the Catholic faith that enrich the educational experience.
In her approach to teaching, she champions an engaging and student-centered environment. With a vision to instill the notion that learning can be enjoyable, she integrates hands-on learning methodologies and exudes enthusiasm in her pedagogical endeavors. Fostering positive relationships with her students is paramount, ensuring they feel valued, cared for, and supported within the classroom.
